About Boca Raton
Located between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Boca Raton is the second largest city in Palm Beach County with a population of about 96,000 as of 2016. Additionally, another 200,000 or so residents with a Boca Raton mailing address reside outside of the municipal boundaries.
From the striking Mediterranean Revival architecture to beautifully designed streets, Boca Raton prides itself on a well-planned and attractive downtown area.
The multi-use Mizner Park with landscaped grounds, fountains, and amphitheater is a popular site for free concerts and family events. The park also boasts retail outlets, restaurants movie theater and museum with adjoining residential apartments. The Palmetto Park Road Promenade with its wide, tree-lined sidewalks, shops and dining venues is the perfect spot for a day of shopping or an evening stroll.
Golfers don’t have to go far with 145 courses located in Palm Beach County; 22 in Boca Raton alone. Recreation facilities in Boca Raton include numerous parks, beaches, and sports facilities, pool, bike clubs, walking trails, tennis courts and polo. Local freshwater Lake Okeechobee is a great spot for fishing and water sports.
